Our annual HOly Cow Flop and Chicken BBQ is always fun, and so are preparation activities. We love volunteers!
Onsite group preparation
Thursday, Aug 10, 6:00 pm, Parish Center (Corpus Christi Church) --load tables and chairs on truck for delivery to St Pius X site.
Thursday, Aug 10, 6:30 pm, St Pius X site -- prep potatoes for baking
Friday, Aug 11, noon, St Pius X site -- set up tents
Friday, Aug 11, 6:30 pm, St Pius X site -- shuck corn, lay out cow flop grid
Saturday, Aug 12, 9:00 am, St Pius X -- set up tables and chairs
Saturday, Aug 12, 12--6 pm, St Pius X grounds -- serve food, manage booths, run games, clear tables, etc -- contact Lisa Valentine (570.806.1706) to help with Pretzel Stand, or Terry Bennedict to help in any other way
Saturday, Aug 12, 6:30 pm, Corpus Christi -- unload and store tables and chairs
At home prep activities
Create a Bountiful Basket (minimum value $25), wrap in cellophene, provide basket name, contents, donors name; drop off at St Pius X house; call Kathy Shostek (570.594.1426) for more information.
Bake a pie, cake, cookies, brownies, anything delicious for the baked goods stand; notify Betty Lopatofsky (570.521.4555) what you will provide.
Sponsor food by placing a donation in an envelope (make check payable to St John Vianney Parish); on it write BBQ, how you would like the recognition to read, and item you wish to sponsor (suggested donations: hot dogs $5, hot dog rolls $10, bottled water case $5, baked beans $10, soft pretzels $5, Kundla's chicken $10, paper products $5, rolls/biscuits $10)
