This weekend children who attend religious education classes at St Pius X site will receive care-and-share grocery bags, which will also be available to anyone at the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Affixed to each bag is a list of foods that the Hop Bottom Food Pantry needs to stock its shelves for spring. Suggested items include

• Canned tuna
• Mayonaise
• Canned fruit
• Crackers
• Juice
• Coffee, tea
• Cereal
• Snack bars for kids
• Soup
• Canned ravioli
• Canned spaghetti sauce
• Canned vegetables
• Peanut butter and jelly (plastic jars)
• Jellybeans or other Easter candy

The Knights of Columbus are conducting a food drive at Corpus Christi Church for the Montdale Food Pantry. Both pantries serve singles and families and have clients of all ages.

Please place grocery donations in designated baskets at the church entrances by Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017. If you prefer to make a monetary donation so the pantries can purchase Easter hams, place it in an envelope marked “Easter hams for food pantry” and drop it in the collection basket. You may designate either the Hopbottom or Montdale food pantry.
