In the last year alone, our parish has benefited greatly from funds contributed to the
Diocesan Annual Appeal Last winter our parish Stewardship Team participated, at no cost, in a four-month educational workshop process. In late winter diocesan staff offered a Living Your Strengths workshop to Parish Pastoral Council and Ministry Coordinating Commission members, committee members, and others.
During the summer we received a grant from the Social Justice Trust Fund to start bereavement ministry. This fall some of our catechists attended the Word Convocation. Throughout the year our lay leaders have sought advice and sample materials from diocesan staff.
Gifts to the the Diocesan Annual Appeal support the Church's mission by providing food, shelter, and other assistance for those most in need; care for our retired priests and support for men in formation to become priests and deacons; education of young people in parish religious education programs and Catholic schools; services that renew and strengthen parish communities; and communication ministries that proclaim the message of the Gospel by informing and inspiring the diocesan faithful. At the Appeal
website you can learn more about diocesan statistics and ministries, watch this year's
video, and how to contribute. You can also
donate online.
