We're just shy of 72% of our parish goal for this year's Diocesan Annual Appeal. Funding for five critical areas of service depends upon donations received by June 30. Ministries funded by the Annual Appeal are
Catholic Social Services and parish outreach programs
Parish life and ministry formation
Catholic education in schools and parishes
Clergy education and care
Catholic media and communications
Gifts to the Annual Appeal are used solely to support these ministries and will not be used to defray legal fees or to fund the recently established Survivors Compensation Program.
This year's theme, "The Journey Makes Us One,"commemorates the century and a half that Catholics in our region have journeyed together in faith. Last year marked 150 years that the Diocese of Scranton has carried out Christ's mission in northeast Pennsylvania. Continuing that mission requires financial support.
