Catholic liturgy, especially the Eucharist, is the center of our parish life. We welcome all who come and we strive to make every Sunday a "weekly Easter." We want dynamic liturgies to express a vibrant sense of life in our parish, gratitude for all God's blessings, and confidence that the Spirit will continue to guide us.
Our Ministry of Worship focuses on parish prayer and liturgy. The Ministry Coordinating Team oversees the practice and activities related to celebrating the mysteries of our faith including
Ensuring that our liturgy fosters full, active, and conscious participation is a central focus of this ministry. We provide ongoing training for all liturgical ministers. Making devotional practices available and ensuring that they are carried out with dignity and reverence is another priority.
If you have a particular need for intercessory prayer or know someone who does, write your request in the prayer request book in the entry area of either church. Every week new intentions are forwarded to our team of intentional prayer-ers. They will pray for your intention.
If you are willing to pray daily for the needs of parishioners and others, join our Intercessory Prayer Ministry. Even those confined at home or elsewhere can serve by praying for others. Your prayers also demonstrate care and compassion for those who may be anxious and in pain. Please give your name and email address (or phone number) to the prayer team leader and you will begin receiving weekly prayer requests. Contact service@stjvp.org
